Who’s in the Pod?
Emma Sherr-Ziarko- Creator, Host, & Producer
Emma wears many hats, but works primarily as a voice actor. She has been in over 50 audio fiction shows, dozens of video games, and much more. She is best known for her role as Commander Minkowski on Wolf 359, as well as Kate Pryde in Marvel Move’s X-Men series.
Before she was a voice actor, Emma was classically trained as a stage actor, with a focus and passion for Shakespeare. She played the Nurse in Romeo and Juliet when she was 9, and she never looked back. She trained at Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, MA and has a BA in Theater from Wesleyan University. She has played the title roles in Julius Caesar and Richard III, and wrote a very long paper on Villains in Shakespeare (if you google it, you can find it).
Calder Shilling- Co-Conspirator
This is Calder’s first foray into the audio world, and what a joy it has been! Calder is a classically trained actor with a strong focus on the works of Shakespeare. In addition to a year of classical training at the British American Drama Academy in London, Calder graduated from Sarah Lawrence College and has performed Shakespeare on stages all over the United States and abroad. Some notable roles include Macbeth in the Macbeth (American Shakespeare Center - National Tour), Trinculo/Alonzo in The Tempest (Florence, IT), Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing (Adirondack Shakespeare Company), and Lysander in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Seattle Shakespeare Company).
Felix Trench- Co-host and Co-Conspirator
Felix is an actor who has worked extensively behind the microphone, notably on the sitcom podcast Wooden Overcoats. Other voice work includes audio dramas, games, and animation. He’s our resident First Folio expert and the real brains behind the operation.
Stage includes both classical and contemporary work in theatres across London and further afield. His first professional Shakespeare role was the Fool in King Lear at the Rose Theatre, Bankside. On screen, Felix has worked for the BBC and Channel 4.
Beth Eyre- Co-Conspirator
Beth has an BA in English and an MA in Shakespeare from UCL and trained at Drama Studio London. She's been obsessed with Shakespeare since a very young age and has performed Shakespeare all over the UK and in all weathers!
Stage credits include Giant (West End), Betrayal (Theatre Royal Bath), A Midsummer Night's Dream (Reading Rep), various work at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse (Shakespeare's Globe), Twelfth Night (Shakepseare's Wanderers), The Mechanicals Present 'Macbeth' (UK Tour) Screen credits include The Baby (HBO) ,The History Bombs and Muder For Dummies. Beth has worked extensively in audio drama and is best known for hit podcast sitcom Wooden Overcoats. She also works in video games, audiobooks and most recently on animation, The Tiny Angry Witch.
